Camera Mounting Angle:
The camera’s mounting angle should not be more than 30°
Horizontal License Plate Alignment:
It is crucial to align the license plate image horizontally within the camera's field of view.
The license plate should not be tilted more than 5° horizontally.
If the image appears tilted beyond this threshold, it is recommended to adjust the camera's position so that the license plate appears horizontally in the live stream.
If this parameter is not kept and plates are tilted more than 5°, it may happen, they will be not detected at all or the CAMMRA will detect them, but will lose or misinterpret some characters.
Minimum License Plate size:
For standard rectangular EU-style license plates the minimum recommended width is 130 px.
Two row plates usually placed on motorcycles, trucks or SUVs should be ideally 90 px wide, as the characters on these plates are smaller.
Especially for motorcycle plates this parameter is very important.
US-style plates are detected and read well starting from 80 pixels, however if the plate is 100px wide, this ensures good reading all over the world including
SouthAmerican plates or plates in Australia or New Zealand
